Ab Attack/ Core Blast – To build a strong core, you need to exercise a variety of muscles from your hips to your shoulders. When these muscles contract, they stabilize the spine, pelvis and shoulder girdle and create a solid base of support. These classes target your core and abs to help support your body in everyday movements.
Body Balance – Ideal for anyone and everyone, BODYBALANCE™* is the yoga-based class that will improve your mind, your body and your life. During BODYBALANCE an inspired soundtrack plays as you bend and stretch through a series of simple yoga moves and embrace elements of Tai Chi and Pilates. Breathing control is a part of all the exercises, and instructors will always provide options for those just getting started. You’ll strengthen your entire body and leave the class feeling calm and centered. Happy.
Body Combat – Step into a BODYCOMBAT workout and you’ll punch and kick your way to fitness, burning up to 740 calories* along the way. This high-energy martial-arts inspired workout is totally non-contact and there are no complex moves to master. A LES MILLS™ instructor will challenge you to up the intensity and motivate you to make the most of every round. You’ll release stress, have a blast and feel like a champ.
Body Pump – BODYPUMP™ is for anyone looking to get lean, toned and fit – fast. Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, BODYPUMP gives you a total body workout. It will burn up to 540 calories*. Instructors will coach you through the scientifically proven moves and techniques pumping out encouragement, motivation and great music – helping you achieve much more than on your own! You’ll leave the class feeling challenged and motivated, ready to come back for more.
Bootcamp – This high energy, action packed class will help you burn fat and build muscle with an equipment-free cardio and strength circuit.
Boxfit – This class is based around boxing combinations and techniques. Boxfit improves hand eye co-ordination, balance and cardio fitness. This boxing class is addictive and will keep you wanting more!
Flexibility – Improve flexibility, mobility and agility and also helps to reduce risk of injury, improve posture and coordination.
Legs, Bums and Tums – This class focuses on technique and toning rather than intensity with series of exercises for legs, bums and abdominal areas; targeting specific problem areas.
Mash It Up – MIU Fitness is a Ragga Dancehall fitness class for everyone! Our mission is to make people smile, have fun and express themselves through dance, whilst getting a good workout. The routines consist of authentic Jamaican dance steps put together to form choreography. It’s all about feeling the vibe and letting go!
Pilates – Exercises that helps improve muscle tone through a series of fluid movements. Based on six principles, concentration, precision, breathing, control, fluidity of movement and centralization.
Spinning –This class is all about focusing on endurance and strength. With intervals of high intensity and recovery, it involves following a routine to upbeat music using a stationary exercise bicycle.
Step Aerobics – This class is a form of aerobic exercise using an elevated platform (the step). The height can be adjusted to individual needs. This is a fun, “Old School” aerobics class that will get you moving to the music!
TRX-BOX: – The use of TRX straps requires you to engage your core with every exercise and leverages gravity and your bodyweight to perform various exercises. You are in control of how much you want to challenge yourself on each exercise. The TRX class is combined with boxing exercises for the cardio benefits.
Yoga – This is a set of techniques aimed at achieving greater control of body and mind. Using postures and breathing exercises that strengthen the body and foster relaxation states.
Power Yoga – Power yoga classes vary widely from teacher to teacher but you can expect to find some intense flowing yoga with a minimal amount of meditation. Power yoga is the general term used to describe vigorous, fitness based approach to Vinyasa-style yoga.
Yogalates – This is a combination of both Pilates and yoga which focuses on body control and helps to improve muscle tone through a series of stretching and fluid movement.
Zumba – This maintains healthy, strengthens and gives flexibility to the body through dance movements combined with a series of aerobic routines.
